This past year has been amazing for Asian American representation in mainstream media. With awesome recent news (congrats to Simu Liu for getting a lead role for the first Asian Marvel super hero!) and some great high profile movies, this is only the beginning for us.
This week we chat about Crazy Rich Asians, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Always Be My Maybe.

2:44 Lucy Liu who was one of the most prominent Asian Americans in mainstream media around the 90s and early 2000s. Greatly known for her role in Charlie's Angels.
2:45 Sandra Oh was another prominent Asian Canadian(!) who grew popular from various movies and shows. One of her biggest ones of the 2000s you may know is Grey's Anatomy!
10:30 Singapore's demographic breakdown: 74.3% Chinese, 13.4% Malaysian, 9.1% Indian (including Sri Lankan), 3.2% other. Malays are recognized as the indigenous people of Singapore.
